Deep Questions
These questions are great for cultivating connection and relationship! They’re especially great for starting off an event or “circle time” (like in Fusion) to welcome everyone and get to know each other.
But remember, it is important that your space is safe. That you don’t shame or laugh at people, that you thank them for sharing, that you create an “authentic” vibe where people feel safe, seen, loved, and accepted for who they are and what they share. Don’t tolerate or join in a shame culture that laughs at people’s answers when they don’t understand or feel threatened or insecure.
Sometimes it’s helpful in a circle to start with sharing your name and answering a lighter question like, what’s your favorite flavor of ice cream. Then the second time around, ask one of these deeper questions.
2 ideas of ways to use:
Go in a circle and have each person pick a number 1-53, then the answer that question.
Each time you meet, have a leader pick a different question until you’ve worked your way through the list.
